Private sector problems of Bangladesh



Lack of efficient manager: Even though with public sector, private sector is also suffering from this problem. There always exists lack of efficient manager. Especially for following reasons:

Brain Drain: People, who went abroad for study, complete their graduation or other degree used to stay abroad for life time. They have little wishes to return back to native country. As a result the organizations cannot draw good managers.
Lack of proper management education: People of our country don’t have the scope for further study of management.
Lack of management training: Likewise management education, no management training is provided to increase skills and efficiencies.

Absence of management as a profession: In our country there aren’t any scopes to recognize management as a profession as we don’t have management as a professional course or as an independent course.

Scarcity of consultancy services: In our country management consultancy services for solving problems of organizations are rarely seen.

Absence of modern management strategies: The existed management strategies are becoming obsolescence day by day. This is because our mangers cannot easily adopt changes. As a result they are lagging behind from modern management strategies.

Corruption & Nepotism: Nepotism often done in case of recruiting new managers. Sometimes, organizations involve in corruption through taking huge money from candidates for their job.

Autocratic attitude of manager: Very often management doesn’t welcome subordinates opinion despite these may be good for organization. Managers acts very autocratic. These things occurs changes very slowly.

Scarcity of govt. initiative and poor motivation: Government rarely motivates the private sector. They used to impose heavy tax and duties on various modern equipments which are necessary for technological advancement.
