Pluralistic approach to Industrial Relations

This approach developed by Flanders & Fox. According to this approach the organization is composed of individuals who are divided into a variety of distinct sectional groups, each with its own interests, objectives, and leadership. It perceives:
                   1. Organizations as coalitions of competing interest
                   2. Trade unions as legitimate representatives
                   3. Stability in IR
The implications of this approach are:-
ü                                       Conflict is both rational and inevitable
ü                                       The trade union have positive role to ensure the well being of the workers.
