A social
class is a group of people who has similar status, comparable power and
equivalent wealth. In sociology, Social
class is a form of social stratification. In an organized society it is
possible for people to change the class. It is because social classes are not
based on birth but on factors of education and profession. For example, someone
born into a low-income family can achieve a higher status by education, talent
and hard work.
According to sociologists, “Social class is
a group of individuals who occupy a similar position in the economic system.”
So, “Social class is a group of people who has
similar status, equivalent wealth and who has similar position in the economic
system of a society.”
