Cross functional team is a team consisting
of people from different functional areas within an organization. For example a
team consisting of people from –marketing, finance , HR department within an
organization. It has some characteristics. They are:-

Team formed to solve ongoing challenges requiring
input from a number of functional areas.

Consist of members from various functional
areas.
·
Teams can be both, permanent and temporary.
·
Provide oversight throughout an entire project.
