scatter diagram is a graph that shows the relationship between two quantitative
variables measured on the same individual. Each individual in the data set is represented
by a point in the scatter diagram. But the points can’t be connected when
drawing a scatter diagram.
Positive
correlation: Indicates positive correlation between X & Y; R=1
Possibility
for positive correlation: Indicates there may be a positive correlation between
X & Y; R=0>1
No
correlation: Indicates no correlation between X & Y; R=0
Negative
correlation: Indicates negative correlation between X & Y; R=-1
Possibility
for negative correlation: Indicates there may be a negative correlation between
X & Y; R=-1>0
Peak &
Through: It indicates there is no correlation between X & Y. But if the
data points are segregated through a straight line from peak or through that it
seems there exist a correlation.
