Principles of Quality Management

Vision based: Vision gives a sense of direction and an organization will fail without it.
Customer focused: Customers should always be focused, because one dissatisfied customer may create many dissatisfied customers.
Prevention oriented: prevention is better than cure, so this prevention concept will take one near to ‘zero defects’ status
Scientifically approached: Scientific methods compose from the mixture of math & science, hence the foundation of scientific approach is strong
Process given more importance than end results: If the process is good, the end result will surely end up with good results.
Data based analysis: Data based approach will always give the best insight to the problem and solution
Continuous improvement strategies: No one can say that ‘perfection achieved’. There is always room for perfection as quality management conceptualized with continuous improvement.
Cost conscious attempt: Affordability is the key factor to customers and profit margin is the key factor for manufacturers.
Documentation for traceability: Shareholders will be assured through quality documentation.
Reward/Recognition assured: Recognition and reward, both are essentials for motivation and helps performer and nonperformers to become quality initiators.
