In short sense, we can say that trade
union is an organization of workers. It can be defined as ‘an association
formed to promote, protect & improve the rights and interests of workers
within an industry’.
Sydney and Beatrice Webb have defined
a trade union as “a continuous association of wage earners for the purpose of maintaining
or improving the conditions of their working lives”
